Why "dose-response" is the phrase to remember
The concept that separates hype from evidence.
When you read about a recovery modality, look for one thing: does more (up to a point) reliably produce more benefit? That's a dose-response relationship, and it's a hallmark of a real effect.
The sauna research shows it clearly — more weekly sessions, lower risk. Red light shows an inverted-U: too little does nothing, too much can backfire.
Use it
When something claims huge benefits from a tiny, one-time exposure with no dose-response, be skeptical. Real effects usually scale sensibly.
Log sauna, red light, cold plunge, hyperbaric, IV and compression in one tap — and see what's actually working.
Educational only — not medical advice. Modality is a tracking tool, not a medical device. Heat, cold, hyperbaric and IV therapies carry real risks and aren't right for everyone. Talk to a qualified healthcare professional before starting or changing any recovery, diet or exercise routine.
