What the Finnish sauna studies actually found
The famous research, in plain language.
A long-running study followed thousands of middle-aged Finnish men for about 20 years, tracking how often they used a sauna.
Those using it 4–7 times a week had substantially lower rates of fatal cardiovascular events and all-cause mortality than once-a-week users — with a clear dose-response pattern.
The caveat
This is observational: it shows a strong association, not proof that sauna alone caused it. But the consistency across outcomes (heart, dementia, blood pressure) makes it compelling. Sauna regularly, comfortably, for the long haul.
Log sauna, red light, cold plunge, hyperbaric, IV and compression in one tap — and see what's actually working.
Educational only — not medical advice. Modality is a tracking tool, not a medical device. Heat, cold, hyperbaric and IV therapies carry real risks and aren't right for everyone. Talk to a qualified healthcare professional before starting or changing any recovery, diet or exercise routine.
